Very predictable result when top-ranked LatvianJugla (8-0) smashed 72th ranked Dutch Almere P. (1-6) 122-65 on Friday. The game without a history. Jugla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Almere P. 's 34. Jugla forced 22 Almere P. turnovers and outrebounded them 39-22 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jugla looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Almere P. 's players. Janis Krjukovs fired 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Nils Zabers chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Five Jugla players scored in double figures. Jugla's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest.
